Happily Employed
Someone remind me - is it apt to say “when it rains, it pours” when getting job interview offers after you’ve been hired. Because that’s what has happened a couple of times in the past week. Never mind that my boss likes me (for now), that my secretary doesn’t dislike me (in spite of the endless supply of dictation I’m giving her) and my co-workers aren’t hazing me (yet).
In one week, I’ve done more depositions than I did in a year at L&J. Also, I don’t have the new job jitters that I had at LSKD. My boss is seeing progress and doesn’t seem to want to break me of habits. I’m slightly underworked but I’m already posting 7.5 hours a day. And a couple of the more senior guys seem to be able to tell that I know my way around a case.
Is B&C the place for me? Too soon to say. But it beats the bread line. Nite nite.
